it was lovely small and exceptionally friendly hotel and we had a very nice stay. the breakfast was fresh made and very good with the tomatoes, we truly enjoyed everything. the setting was amazing, near the two murphy's bars in the centre of killarney, close to train / bus station and killarney town center. had brunch in the the porterhouse gastropub, located nearby.

We were especially impressed with the rate and location for the purpose of our visit to a major sporting event in the area,(Irish Open). What the hotel lacks in facilities, ie, leisure center or parking, it more than makes up with it's charm.Very relaxed atmosphere with good food, friendly staff and great craic. No problem recommending this hotel whatsoever.
There was nothing to dislike overall.

Extremely large room. Looks brand new, and is clean
Bad service, unpolite staff, front desk not always manned even at "peak" hours. In the room gloomy light, tiny tiny TV set, no charm in decor whatsoever. Should stick to the pub business, and stop pretending doing accomodations !

Clean, comfy Double Room near Killarney's attractions. Staff helped with local activities like cycling. Loud pub noise disrupted sleep.

I enjoyed the convenience of Murphy's, right in centre of town. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of staff.
Perhaps the fact that there is no customer car parking available.
